Shellback Tavern​

The Shellback has had  several different names over it's 8 decades of existence. In 1922 Bach's Cafe & Bakery opened in the newly constructed building. Names and owners changed, Knothole, Surf, Shellbacks, Shellback Surf Tavern and probably a few more we can't remember. As our little beach town has gone through drastic changes over the decades, the Shellback has remained a constant reminder of simpler times. Shellback Tavern is a casual, non-pretentious watering hole located on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. On many an evening you will find college students, pro athletes, movie industry types, surfers,  skaters and many other beach lovers all having a good time.
